Patrik joined IKEA in 2003. He has gained wide experience from various verticals from expansion, store management, marketing, customer relations and now corporate communications and sustainability.
After spending 6 years with IKEA expanding the market in Russia, Patrik took the challenge of taking part in building up the newly set up Portuguese organization where during his 4 years stint he led the marketing and customer relations teams.
IKEA’s strong sustainability agenda has influenced the work Patrik has done, from energy and water efficiency in the IKEA stores, to how IKEA can use the sustainability work in its positioning.
With this experience and lots of passion Patrik eagerly took on the role as Country Sustainability Manager for IKEA India. India’s enormous potential paired with the challenges of operating sustainably on a new market were the reasons for Patrik in joining the IKEA India team back in September 2013.
During these two years he has driven the sustainability agenda as well as exploring the many great IKEA sustainability initiatives already in place in India: IKEA Foundation, IKEA Next Generation as well as its supply chain. India is a place, he says, where IKEA really can make its vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people come true.
