Manoj K Chakravarti
Mr. Manoj K Chakravarti, after passing out from Scindia School Gwalior, read Economics at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and finished his post-graduation from St Stephen’s, attending the Delhi School of Economics, under distinguished professors Amartya Sen, Jagdish Bhagwati, K N Raj and Joan Robinson.
Manoj started his career with India Foils Limited – a pioneering packaging company, then a part of the TI-Reynolds/British Aluminium Group, where he worked for 13 years in the covenanted cadre. Work wise, he then migrated to the Middle-East, to join one of the largest trading organizations there – The Bahwan Group.
Manoj joined Titan Industries, a part of the well-known Tata Group in August 1996 as General Manager-Retailing, heading the Retailing department and then moved into heading Corporate Affairs and Europe operations in May 2003 and soon became Vice-President, a position he held till his retirement. He was a member of the Titan Management Council- a leadership team and was the Chief Ethics Officer at Titan.
For over 5 years now, Manoj is the Chief Operations Officer at the Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship-Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
He is also the Chief Strategy Officer and Advisor with “Green Evangelist”, a think-tank. Manoj is the founder-CEO of SuztainInc, an advisory on strategic Sustainability, Governance, Ethics and Responsible Business.
