Santhosh Jayaram leads one of the biggest sustainability consulting teams in South-Asia. At KPMG in India the team with him works in areas of sustainability strategic advisory, climate change advisory (mitigation & adaptation), climate finance and green bonds, sustainability reports, environmental & social due diligence, environment health & safety audits. social audits, concurrent monitoring of projects, need assessment studies and impact evaluation studies
Santhosh Jayaram speacialises in areas of extra financial risk assessment, responsible business, corporate sustainability, product sustainability, sustainability reporting and climate change. After Graduating in Mechanical Engineering (Calicut University) he did his Masters in Environmental Science and Engineering (IIT Mumbai). In 2010 he completed a course covering sustainable technologies from University of California, Berkeley Campus,
He is a member of the technical committee for the development of the international Stakeholder Engagement Standard – AA1000SES. He was also a member of the GRI G4 working group on Application Level.
He speaks at various forums including that of CII, TERI, ASSOCHAM, ACCA, CMA, SAFA, IMC, IOD and UNGC. He has also conducted classes at top business schools in India..
Has worked extensively in the field of climate change from 2004 onwards and have experience of working with private sector, governments and multilateral agencies.
He functioned as an independent director of board and chair for standards committee for Consortium of Humanitarian Agencies in Sri Lanka (2006 to 2008), a consortium of NGO’s.
