CWE and GoK Launch Incubator for Women Businesses

Catalyst for Women Entrepreneurship (CWE) and the Government of Karnataka jointly launched an incubator for women-led enterprises recently in Bengaluru. Ms. Champa E, General Manager, IT, BT and S&T – ‎Govt. of Karnataka did the honors.

CWE is a platform serving 2,150 entrepreneurs in 16 states and 50 cities in India. It provides an ecosystem for any woman who wants to start a business or scale her existing business to the next level. CWE has 28 Ambassadors, advisors, catalysts.

CWE’s vision

  • Equip 50,000 women with skills to start and grow their businesses in Tier1/2/3 cities.
  • Create 500 success stories of women-led businesses that have scaled up profits, turnover, employee strength and impacted communities.
  • Project 100 women as influencers and national role models to inspire many others.

CWE has already attracted firms that are trying to offer solutions. Here’s a list of a few: 

Cradlewise – working on sleep management solution for babies

Cydee – quality road lighting solutions

Bare Necessities – enabling conscious consumerism by reducing waste

Kotumb – Professional networking app

Sattve – A digital agro place to help farmers sell and end users to buy quality agricultural products online seamlessly.

Talking Street – a social discovery platform helping passionate foodies & travellers to discover the best locally recommended food experiences
