Jain was one of 12 global winners of the 2025 SEAL Environmental Journalism Award. The judges recognized his reporting for illuminating the range of invisible effects of pollution, such as neurotoxicity and hearing loss. The award is for his journalism in general, not specifically for a Yale Climate Connections publication.

The award is for his article ‘A girl’s grades drop every summer. There’s an alarming explanation’ published in YCC on 31 July, 2025. The article focuses on poor performance of students during peak summer months and what can be done to address it.
