Gurpratap S. Boparai is CEO of the Year
Frost & Sullivan Introduction of a new category of awards in 2025 – CEO Of the Year. The first recipient was Gurpratap S. Boparai, CEO of Suzlon Energy Limited. The award was part of the 2025 edition of the India Manufacturing Excellence Awards (IMEA).
Mr. Boparai became the CEO of Manufacturing at Suzlon Energy Limited in July 2024. He focuses on driving operational excellence and digitization in Suzlon’s crucial manufacturing divisions. He has had leadership roles in the automotive and engineering sectors at companies like Mahindra, Skoda, and Fiat.
The 2025 edition reaffirmed the importance of aligning business excellence with long-term, sustainable strategies, especially as India’s manufacturing landscape rapidly evolves with digital transformation, supply chain complexity, and environmental considerations.
In its 21st edition, IMEA is India’s earliest assessment-based manufacturing award. The 2025 framework evaluated organizations on manufacturing capability, extended supply chain reliability, and technology adoption, reinforcing Frost & Sullivan’s commitment to holistic operational excellence. The rigorous assessment methodology was applied during the visit to more than 2,000+ manufacturing sites.
