The platform is aimed at solving one of the largest but least-discussed barriers in India’s clean energy transition: the lack of accessible, reliable advisory infrastructure for consumers and businesses trying to adopt renewable energy systems.
While renewable energy adoption in India has accelerated significantly, navigating subsidies, state-specific regulations, DISCOM approvals, net metering frameworks, financing structures, and technology selection continues to remain complex. It is a daunting task particularly for farmers, MSMEs, housing societies, and small commercial establishments.
Saarthi has been built as a conversational AI agent capable of handling contextual, multi-step queries in natural language. Unlike rule-based chatbots, it understands free-form questions and responds with personalised recommendations based on the user’s profile, location, electricity consumption patterns, land holding, and business type.
Trained in India’s Energy Ecosystem
The platform has been trained on India’s renewable energy ecosystem, including MNRE guidelines, PM-KUSUM schemes, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, state-wise net metering regulations, open access frameworks, DISCOM procedures, BESS incentives, and power trading protocols.
Speaking about Saarthi, Bhavesh Patidar, Founder and CEO of Nevron Group, said, “The biggest obstacle to renewable energy adoption in India is the information gap. A business owner in Nagpur evaluating captive solar, a farmer in Vidisha exploring PM-KUSUM, or a housing society in Pune asking about virtual net metering — none of them have access to a trusted expert at the moment they need one. Saarthi is that expert, available 24 hours a day, in their language, for free.”
The platform also supports housing societies and apartment residents through guidance on virtual net metering and renewable power participation through exchanges such as Indian Energy Exchange and Power Exchange India Limited. Commercial establishments, real estate developers, EPC companies, and infrastructure operators can use Saarthi for technology evaluation, subsidy discovery, financial modelling, and regulatory navigation.
Among Saarthi’s core capabilities are system sizing recommendations, subsidy eligibility checks, payback and ROI calculations, DISCOM approval guidance, and various other capabilities to enable the user with the required information. Users can interact with Saarthi without downloading an app, and the voice platform is designed to function effectively even in low-bandwidth and rural network conditions.
