Over the years, there has been systematic change in cultivation and consumption of food. Though it is necessary to change to cash crops for economics of agriculture and to consume food which is easily and economically available, the overexposure to these non-native crops and food consumption has resulted in negative impact on health of soil and people. It is necessary at this stage to shift back to age old tradition of food consumption.

Looking at the need to create awareness among the public and producers, on sidelines with Foodpro 2017, CII launched, T-Food, a dedicated pavilion for Traditional Foods, Processing Technologies and some focus of cooking the traditional foods with twist without affecting the nutritional values.

T-Food is part of a growing movement to bring back Native Traditional Foods. T-Food will bring all stakeholders in one common platform for highlighting & making efforts to promote native plants, culinary traditions and especially traditional food products.
